International Society for Sanitation Studies

Annual Conference 2024

Information

  • Extend Abstract Submission Deadline: September 30 (Mon)

The International Society for Sanitation Studies (ISSS) recognizes the urgent need to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) – ensuring universal access to safe water and sanitation by 2030. While significant progress has been made, substantial challenges persist, especially in reaching marginalized populations and adapting to a rapidly changing global landscape.
The ISSS Annual Conference 2024 brings together a diverse community of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and community members to address these critical issues. By exploring innovative, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches to Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH), and Menstrual Health, we aim to foster a more equitable and sustainable future for all.
This year’s conference theme, “Glocal WASH and Menstrual Health among Diverse Populations”,  emphasizes the importance of both global and local perspectives in tackling these complex challenges. We invite you to share your expertise and contribute to this important conversation.

We, therefore, welcome you to the ISSS Annual Conference 2024.
